Timber Window Renovation Longton, Lancashire

This timber window renovation project was a delight! We had been to see the customer and gave the low down of how renovation can work for some projects and also offered new double glazed sashes. The original sash windows were of a good condition and the main complaint was to eliminate draughts.

The customer in Longton, Lancashire decided it was particularly attractive to them that we should keep all the original windows as they felt the timber and all mechanics of the windows had lasted a century and they wanted to retain every character they possibly could to last another. The windows were in good condition apart from a few that needed some timber repairs and renovation work done on them. Two of the windows needed a hardwood sill replacement and we installed new draught proofing to all sash windows to eliminate the draughts which is a common complaint for old sash windows.
